Event Summary

Space-Con is a family friendly event aimed at the stargazer in all of us.  Join us for a 3 day convention featuring your favorite astrophysicists, scientists, and experts in the space field.  There will be costume contests, games, tournaments, vendors, celebrity panels and more!

Friday, April 18th:

  • 10 am - Noon: "StarTalk Live"
    Featuring Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson ad special guest starts who will cover the world of science for the modern age.

  • Noon - 3 pm: "Resident Alien"
    Featuring SyFy's comedy actor Bill Bryan, and he explores the idea behind his hit television series "Lost in the World", and the notion of us being the only people in the universe.

  • 3 pm - 4 pm: "Stories in Space" 
    Follow 3 astronauts as they share real live stories of their adventures beyond Earth's gravity in this Q and A session.

 

Saturday, April 19th: 

  • 10 am - Noon: "What the Q could mean"
    Join StarTrek enthusiasts in meeting Q from StarTrek as he discusses what his character's role was on the hit series.

  • Noon - 3 pm: "The Expanse" 
    Join us for this world premier of the Netflix show "The Expanse", and ask the hard hitting science questions about where the idea came from to set it in a foreign world. 

  • 3 pm - 4 pm: Star Trek Universe
    This Q and A features some of your favorite characters from Star Trek: Discovery, and Star Trek: Picard

 

Sunday, April 20th: 

  • 11 am - Noon: "Along in the Universe"
    Join respected Astrophysicist Simon Tomphson as he delves into the mystery of the great unknown, as discussed in his recent best selling book, "Along in the Universe". 

  • Noon - 3 pm: "What's in a Planet"
    Featuring noted Geologist Sandra Pontoff, who will be discussing the new magma core found at the base of several dwarf planets from the hubble 17 space mission. 

  • 3 pm - 4 pm: "Galaxy Quest"
    The comedians from the hillarious adaption of "Galaxy Quest" will be answering questions about their upcoming project regarding star travel.
